Outing #31 – Too sick to care

Too sick to write an entry this week.

I walked out to the camp on day one with a constant, dry cough that progressed to a full-blown flu with a high temperature, cold sweats and spent the entire outing coving up gobs of pus all day and night.

By the time the outing was over, and having almost crawled my way up the mountain – stopping every twenty meters to catch my breath, I finally got to a local doctor who said it had progressed again to bronchial pneumonia.

He gave me two full courses of two seperate anti-biotics to be taken five times a day and I managed to spend eight days in one warm bed or another to recover slightly.

So no journal for this outing: other than this.

The Possums are fine, though I hope they can’t catch whatever I’ve got.
