Short Stories

Second Hand

Great little story about the value of second-hand goods, and how every now and then you’ll get a pre-loved treasure with that little extra “history”.

Dionaea Muscipula

Another excellently spooky short by the excellent Katherine C. I can’t really outline the plot without spilling the story so you’ll just have to read it and find out. I will say though; sure, the ending is a bit predictable, but the story as a whole is well written enough so it’s still well worth the read.

Psychosis

Impressively written story about one man’s spiral into insanity.

The Grimes Home

Brilliant pasta. One of the best I’ve read so far. The story can stand on its own well enough, but references the shady memories of Candle Cove as well.

Dread

Only a quick few-minute read, but a good one anyway. A bit predictable, even absurd in places, but it’s well written enough so you don’t mind.

This is how the World ends.

Surprisingly engaging story – for science fiction – about, well you read it and find out. It’s all about perspective, and the fragility of life.

Herbert Solomon’s Melancholy

A very nicely written, haunting story that is indeed melancholy. Put me in mind of Sleepy Hollow when I read it.
